Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Pixel Boardroom handles, why we handle it, and the choices you have. It is written for the current public beta product.

Last updated: March 20, 2026

Overview

Pixel Boardroom is a browser-based decision-support product. In the current beta, we do not offer user accounts and we do not intentionally store full board sessions on our own servers as part of the normal product flow. Session state is primarily stored locally in your browser.

If you use Pixel Boardroom, we may still process some information to operate the service, enforce quotas, understand product usage, respond to feedback, and protect the app from abuse.

Information We Handle

  • Question and conversation content you type into the product, including advisor prompts, Go Deeper follow-up messages, Diane summary requests, and decision-capture notes.
  • Session data stored in your browser, including the current question, selected advisors, responses, follow-up threads, summaries, and reduced-motion preference.
  • A signed anonymous browser cookie used to distinguish normal first-party product usage from abusive or scripted API traffic.
  • Technical and request data needed to run and protect the service, such as IP address information, user-agent information, request timing, route-level request IDs, and error or timeout events.
  • Product analytics data if analytics is enabled, such as pageviews, clicks, session-level product events, and related device or browser information collected by our analytics provider.
  • Feedback and contact information you choose to send us by email, including the contents of your message and any metadata that normally comes with email.

How We Use Information

  • To generate advisor responses and Diane summaries.
  • To preserve your in-browser session across refreshes on the same device and browser.
  • To enforce rate limits, beta quotas, and abuse protections.
  • To troubleshoot failures, monitor reliability, and improve the product.
  • To read and respond to feedback, support requests, or legal inquiries.

How Information Is Shared

We use service providers to run Pixel Boardroom. Depending on configuration, they may process information for us:

  • OpenAI, to generate advisor and summary outputs.
  • Vercel, to host the application, serve API routes, and provide operational logs.
  • PostHog, if analytics is enabled, to help us understand product usage.
  • Upstash Redis, if configured, to support durable beta quota and rate-limit tracking.
  • Your and our email providers, if you contact us by email.

We do not sell your personal information through the core product flow described in this beta policy.

Retention

  • Board-session state is stored locally in your browser until you clear it, replace it with a new session, or remove browser storage.
  • We do not intentionally maintain a server-side archive of your full board sessions in the normal V1 product experience.
  • Operational logs, quota records, analytics records, and emails may be retained by us or our service providers for security, diagnostics, or business operations for a limited period consistent with their systems and our needs.

Your Choices

  • You can clear Pixel Boardroom session data by starting a new question or clearing relevant browser storage.
  • You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings and extensions.
  • You can choose not to email us feedback or personal information.
  • If you have a privacy question or want to request deletion of feedback you directly sent us by email, contact hello@pixelboardroom.com.

Children

Pixel Boardroom is designed for adult business and leadership use and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information directly, contact us and we will review the request.
